Nate has been in the games industry for 18 years working for companies such as Cryptic Studios, Blizzard Entertainment, Respawn Entertainment, and Playstation Santa Monica Studios. Currently he is working on the God of War franchise and lead the Environment Art and Lighting teams. He also teaches at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, and produces content for the Gnomon Workshop.
AAA Game Development - The Art of God of War
In this lecture I will cover what it takes to create the highest quality art in current AAA game development. Specifically I will talk about some of the processes and developments that we experienced creating God of War. We will discuss the current art quality standard, and what it takes to achieve it, as well as how to break into the industry or survive if you are already a game developer.
